This policy explains what we collect when you use elvidenmaison.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and billing address.

When you join our email or WhatsApp list: your name, email address and phone number.

When you contact us: whatever you choose to write to us.

Automatically when you browse: your IP address, device and browser type, and how you move through the site. This comes from cookies and similar technology.

We never see or store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by our payment provider. Your card number does not reach us.

Why we collect it

To process and deliver your order, and to send you a tax invoice for it by email.

To send you order updates by WhatsApp, SMS or email: confirmation, dispatch and delivery, to the number and address on the order.

If you start a checkout and do not finish it, to remind you by WhatsApp or email. At most three messages, and never after four weeks.

To send you email or WhatsApp updates about new pieces, but only if you asked for them. Every message has a way to opt out that works immediately.

To answer your questions when you write to us.

To understand how the site is used, and whether our advertising works, so we can improve both.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who else handles your information

Running a store means a few services touch your data. Each one only gets what it needs:

Shopify hosts our store and processes orders.
Our checkout provider runs the checkout. It receives your phone number and address, and uses your phone number to recognise you and offer an address you have saved with it before, so you do not type it twice.
Our payment provider handles the transaction. It receives your payment details directly, we do not.
Our courier partners receive your name, address and phone number so your parcel can be delivered.
Our messaging platform sends order updates and, if you have subscribed, our emails and WhatsApp messages.
Our accounting software holds the invoice for your order, as tax law requires.
Advertising platforms such as Meta and Google set cookies on our site that tell us whether one of our ads led to a visit or a purchase.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep your cart working, to keep you signed in, to understand how the site is used, and to measure our advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, the cart in particular, will not work properly if you do.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, currently 8 years under Indian law.

If you unsubscribe from our emails or messages, we remove you from the list promptly.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

tell you what personal information we hold about you
correct anything that is wrong
delete your information, where we are not required by law to keep it
stop sending you marketing email or messages

Where your information goes

Some of the services above store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we use providers who commit to protecting it.

Children

This store is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

We use services that encrypt data in transit and we limit who can access it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information to us by email.
